Las Tablas

Las Tablas is the economic center of the Los Santos province in the Azuero Peninsula. It is home to many of Panama’s large scale agricultural operations and farmland. The area itself is known for its beautiful and varied topography, and the town of Las Tablas is located about ten minutes from the deep blue waters of the Pacific.

The town of Las Tablas is where many people from all over the country flock during the week-long Carnival celebrations, where the festivities literally do not stop for seven days. During the rest of the year, this town has an old world feel and is characterized by locals on horse back and fisherman selling the day’s catch.
